Media Bootcamp provides high-end media training to individuals and organisations. Today, everyone has a story to tell; a fact which makes it harder than ever to get your own story out there. At Media Bootcamp, you’ll learn from two working journalists with 40 years of experience between them.
Sue and Ginger’s extensive background writing for, producing and working with some of Australia and the world’s biggest radio, TV, newspapers, magazine and online publications mean you will be learning from journalists with current, insider industry knowledge. If you want to understand how to tell your story in the media in a way that they’ll listen to, and know how to nail your next interview, this is the training for you.

Experience:

Sue and Ginger's hands on, current media experience is highly valued by their clients, who include everyone from fashion labels to government regulators. The industry is in disruption, so what worked 5 or 10 years ago doesn't necessarily work now. People need to learn from those who are there at the coalface: Sue and Ginger's work is regularly published in outlets including the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, various ABC outlets, news.com.au and dozens more.
Ginger Gorman is a fearless and multi award-winning social justice journalist. In the course of her 16-year media career she’s watched bodies burn at the crematorium, been strapped to a bondage wheel and recorded her own cancer treatment. She’s interviewed everyone from eminent scientists and artists to hardened criminals and vicious Internet trolls. (In fact, she recently gave a gripping TEDx talk on this very issue.)
She regularly writes stories, makes radio and TV for media outlets such as: news.com.au, Fairfax online, The Guardian, The Big Smoke, mamamia and the ABC.
Sue White has the last decade working as a busy Australian freelance journalist. Her features work has seen her interview everyone from Ita Buttrose to Julian Assange’s lawyer for both The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. Sue is a regular guest on ABC radio (talking travel); writes weekly for Fairfax; is a popular writing mentor; and has a pre-journalism background in branding and communications – a bonus for our clients.
